Floatation Tank

Pure relaxation for your body and mind!

Flotation – the most effective means of meditation and coping with overwork.

Generally speaking, flotation is a high-tech weightless floatation capsule therapy for deep rest, body restoration, meditation and exploration of the possibilities of the mind and consciousness.

The absence of gravity in the capsule is achieved by saturating MgSo4 (magnesium sulfate) in purified water.

The amount of Epsom salts is 300 kg and besides weightlessness, the salts saturate the body with necessary minerals and leave the skin and hair soft and gentle.

Rest is sought through sensory deprivation – the maximum understatement of information that is constantly processed by the senses and the subconscious. Therefore the possibilities of flotation therapy are for complete silence, darkness and isolation from the information flow.

Floatation Tank: General Information

Back in 1954, the American neurophysiologist John S. Lilly, conducted research on the effects of sensory deprivation.
He created the first floating or isolation tank to prove his claims, using it to observe the relationship between the conscience and the brain.
His theory is that if all stimulation is withdrawn and all external environmental influences are eliminated, the human brain goes into what is called the TETA state, which precedes sleep under normal conditions.
His theory has been confirmed by numerous experiments and studies, which are favorably influenced by floating therapy or also REST therapy – which is a limited environmental stimulation therapy .
REST therapy, has similar benefits to relaxation training, hypnosis, meditation, yoga and massage, both from a psychological and physical perspective.
The main result of swimming – which forms the basis of the whole system – is that the body is spared the effects of gravity on our bodies.
The muscles and joints (supporting muscles, skeletal muscles and locomotor muscles) are relieved of the strain and so relax completely.
The body is in a weightless state and the cabin blocks out all noise and light, thus creating an atmosphere of complete relaxation. The basis of flotation is the water with a high concentration of salt in the float tank, allowing the body to float on the surface of the water.
Sensory deprivation shuts out the effects of gravity, light and sound on the brain in a floating state.
After the experiments of John S. Lilly, research into the effects of flotation has continued actively in universities, health centers, and hospitals, leading to the creation of a global organization, IRIS (International R.E.S.T. Investigators Society).
IRIS physicians and researchers regularly publish their results, which form a body of unique developments in the field of modern medicine.

The flotation capsule has undergone many changes in its design and mechanics over the past 57 years,
Today’s capsules are high-tech devices that allow the sensation of comfort, spaciousness and gradual entry into sensory deprivation.

  • 1 hour of flotation equals 4-5 hours of sleep

  • It helps to cope with the time difference faster after travelling.

  • Strengthens immunity and boosts creativity.

  • Helps muscle recovery and reduces the risk of sports injuries.

  • Relieves tension in pregnant women (if you are in the third trimester, consult your doctor).

  • Flotation can also be a form of meditation. After 30-45 min your brain begins to generate theta waves, which normally happens during sleep or deep rest.

  • It improves the cognitive functions of the brain.

  • Stress Relief – Excess adrenaline and stress are thought to drain magnesium, which is a natural stress reliever, from the body. Magnesium helps bind serotonin, the happiness hormone, by increasing dopamine and endorphin levels in the body.

  • Complete relaxation – Increases chemicals in the brain that work to create a feeling of well-being and relaxation.

  • Migraines – Relieves and prevents migraine headaches.

  • Detoxification – Flushes toxins and heavy metals from cells in the body, which helps relieve muscle pain and clear out harmful substances collected from our modern toxic environment.

  • Diabetes – Improved insulin sensitivity helps control blood sugar, which can help prevent or sever diabetes.

  • Heart Health – Improves heart health and circulation. Prevent hardening of the arteries, blood clots and lower overall blood pressure and heart rate.

  • Bone health – Magnesium helps the assimilation of calcium into bones.

When you use a float tank, magnesium is absorbed through the skin and the body optimizes magnesium levels so magnesium levels are not likely to get too high, which can be dangerous.
In addition to improving magnesium levels, Epsom salt also provides sulfates, which are difficult to obtain from food but are easily absorbed through the skin.
Sulfates play a key role in the formation of brain tissue, joint proteins and mucin proteins that coat the walls of the digestive tract – especially as we age, all of which help us live longer and healthier lives.

Steam baths can be very beneficial to your health.

Although saunas and steam baths are very similar, the main differences between them are the temperature and humidity.

The temperature in a sauna is usually higher than in a steam room.

Using our Steam Bath will:

  • Relieve the symptoms of colds and congestion

  • Relax the muscles after a workout
